The Report on Wireless LAN War Driving Survey 2013 invited over 10 information security experts to conduct the war driving surveys, including the Tramway War Driving, Estates War Driving and the newly added survey War-Flying. Result showed that there was a slight increase in the number of Access Point (AP) and simultaneously most of the users understood the way to keep their WiFi connection being secure, which showed that the public awareness on WiFi security had improved. As a serious security loophole was found in Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), the Survey started to collect data about the number of AP that was enabling WPS, and the result showed that there were over 40% of AP were enabling WPS. It was suggested that users should download the patch to keep their devices safe.
