The Report on Wireless LAN War Driving Survey 2014 invited over 10 information security experts to conduct the war driving surveys, including the Tramway War Driving, Estates War Driving and the Wardriving on Peak. From the result of the survey, it showed that the public awareness on WiFi security had improved, with only 6% of WiFi connections were using the insecure WEP encryption method. Still, there were 34% of the users sill using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WEP) encryption method, which might cause serious security loophole. It was suggested that users should download the patch to keep their devices safe.
